Sherry Bassin is one of a kind, and his stories from his life in hockey will show you why!

He passed on drafting Wayne Gretzky when he had the chance, and everyone thought he was crazy. He traded Eric Lindros because he wouldn't report to the junior team that drafted him and then helped trade him again when he wouldn't report to the NHL team that drafted him. He drafted Connor McDavid, but he gives credit to his dog because he believes anybody could have drafted Connor McDavid!

Sherwood Sherry Bassin played an integral role in developing Canada's national junior hockey program in 1982 and he built three junior hockey teams -- the Oshawa Generals, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, and the Erie Otters -- into league championship powerhouses from the 1980s to 2015, winning five OHL titles and solidifying himself as a junior hockey icon, as a general manager, and later, as an owner.

And man, does he ever have stories to tell!

Sherry has lived a rich and full life in -- and out -- of hockey. Always colourful, always outspoken, the one-of-a-kind Sherry now shares stories from his long life in hockey.
