The continuing adventures of Plupy, Beany, and Pewt!
Sequil is, as its wonderfully playful title suggests, the sequel to Henry A. Shute's beloved The Real Diary of a Real Boy. Once again, Plupy and his friends Beany and Pewt plunge headlong into the mishaps, schemes, rivalries, and everyday disasters of boyhood in small-town New England.
During his lifetime, Shute was often compared to Mark Twain for his sharp eye, lively humor, and gift for capturing the world of childhood as children actually experienced it. His boys are mischievous, inventive, occasionally exasperating-and always thoroughly alive.
Step back into the late nineteenth century and join Plupy and his friends as they confront the trials, triumphs, and absurdities of growing up in a seemingly simpler age.
Warm, funny, and full of mischief, Sequil is a charming return to the unforgettable world of Plupy Shute.
