The Taizōkai Daimonji Shidai (胎蔵界大門寺次第 / The Sequence of the Mindful Recitation for the Garbhakośa, Daimon-ji), copied and compiled by Yūkai Hōin (宥快法印) at Hōshōin (宝性院) temple on February 5 of the tenth year of the Ōei era (1403), is an abbreviated manual used for actual practice during the Garbhakośa (胎蔵界 / Garbhadhātu) preliminary training, corresponding to the Kongōkai Daimonji Shidai (金剛界大門寺次第 / The Sequence of the Mindful Recitation for the Vajradhātu, Daimon-ji). Yūkai Hōin (宥快法印) compiled this practical abbreviated text based on his own Garbhakośa comprehensive edition for actual training. It reduces the practitioner's burden by omitting the detailed recitation of individual mudrās and mantras for the diverse deities of each court described in the comprehensive edition, substituting a streamlined format of sequentially reciting the representative mudrās and mantras for each of the courts. On the other hand, it incorporates detailed preliminaries, including the Nine Skillful Means, and the Five Great Vows, while also including the Eight Secret Mudrās that reflect the virtues of the deities of the Eight-Petaled Court, and serves as the standard manual for actual practice during the Garbhakośa training.
