Greg Murdaugh has published a short story collection titled Personal Shrapnel. Then he put out two movie review books under his Cinema Slayer moniker. Now, he has had a resurgence with returning to the original writing ideals that he started way back when he was about eleven or twelve years old-which is the format of lyrical poetry. Used as a coping mechanism back when his family first moved from one town to another new area where he and his brothers ended up being the new kids that didn't know anyone or fit in anywhere else, writing poetry was an obsession that filled notebook after notebook instead of being plugged for homework. This first collection titled Secrets And Keys To A Midwestern Darkness sees Greg exorcising old demons of past relationships, family troubles and just sheer stories of depression, anguish and wanting to make things right in his world. He hopes that these words that touch on many subjects can help others as they have helped him just by putting them down into organized stanzas and give the possible reach beyond words just being flung onto a page.
