Secreta Monita Societatis Jesu: Secret Instructions Of The Jesuits, To Which Is Prefixed An Historical Essay is a book written by William M'Gavin. The book is a collection of secret instructions allegedly given to members of the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits, a Catholic religious order. The instructions are said to have been written in the 17th century and were meant to guide Jesuits in their mission to spread the Catholic faith and defend it against its enemies. The book includes an introduction by the author, in which he provides a historical context for the instructions and discusses the controversy surrounding their authenticity. The author argues that the instructions are genuine and that they reveal the Jesuits' true intentions, which he believes are dangerous and subversive. The book is considered controversial and has been criticized by some for its anti-Catholic bias. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
