A young woman with a secret is running from outlaws who suspect she is hiding the truth. Can she make it out of her secret circumstance alive, or will this secret finally destroy her for good?
In 1885, Doris Kepler marries in haste and mostly out of spite. Now it appears God is making her pay for it.
Before her husband dies, he reveals two life-changing secrets that will forever alter Doris' future. Realizing her life is in danger and not trusting the local sheriff, Doris flees, leading her on a harrowing journey where she befriends Rose Elder who becomes Doris' ally.
Together, these women join forces and encounter murderous outlaws, angry law officers, ferocious storms, stampeding cattle, flooded rivers, and cattle drivers.
Through her arduous journey, she meets Tim Gibson, the young cowboy who's learned to overcome past mistakes and is determined to help Doris find peace-and love-again.
Can Doris escape the outlaws who are trying to kill her for the secret she's hiding? Will she and Tim find love together before it's too late?
Secret Circumstance shows us the importance of letting go of past mistakes, the power of love, and accepting God's forgiving mercy.
