The dependence on smartphone has led to the emergence of nomophobia, a fear of being without a mobile phone, especially among the young adult population with the advent of the digital age. In this book, we study the relationship between nomophobia and physical activity, with validated tools such as NMP-Q and IPAQ-SF. Results proved a weak negative correlation, which indicates that higher physical activity could be related to lower levels of smartphone-related anxiety. The book blends research with knowledge derived from physiotherapy and public health to illustrate how too much screen time results in sedentary lifestyles and a reduction in well-being. It supports active living as a means of improving overall health and promotes balanced technology use.
