Part 1: The Story - The Day Schwa Went Missing
In this playful, circus-themed rhyming story, letters search for the missing schwa sound as words begin to sound wrong without him. Through rhythm, repetition, and humor, students begin to hear how vowels often change to the soft uh sound in unstressed syllables.
Part 2: The Performance (Teacher Instruction)
Using the circus theme, Schwa is introduced as a performer who steps in when sounds get lazy, helping students remember this important phonics rule.
