Delve into one of the most pivotal moments in Islamic history with Saqifa. Following the passing of Prophet Muhammad, the gathering at Saqifa Bani Sa'idah marked a critical turning point that shaped the future of the Muslim world. Compiled by Mahdī Dashtī and based on the profound teachings of scholar Sayyid Murtaḍā ʿAskarī, this book provides a comprehensive examination of the events, political dynamics, and successional debates that unfolded during this period.
Relying on a critical review of early Islamic texts and historical accounts, this meticulous study unpacks the complex narratives surrounding the appointment of the first Caliph. Saqifa offers readers a deep, scholarly perspective on the roots of early political divisions and the foundational moments of Islamic leadership. Essential for students of Islamic history, theology, and anyone seeking to understand the historical context of early Islamic governance, it is a masterful exploration of faith, power, and society.
