In 2002 he died and was succeeded by Soane Patita Maituku. This is a list of the rulers of the polity of Alo, which is located on the eastern part of Futuna Island in the Territory of Wallis and Futuna Islands. Alo, also known unofficially as Tu'a or the Kingdom of Futuna, is one of three official chiefdoms of the French territory of Wallis and Futuna, which encompasses the eastern two thirds (53 km out of 83 km ) of Futuna Island, and mostly uninhabited Alofi Island (32 km, pop. 2) 2 km to the southeast. The total area of the chiefdom is 85 km, with a population of 2993, in nine villages, as of the census of July 22, 2003.
