Ailing young Bussy's bond with Tarzan, his pet rooster, seems unbreakable. But competing forces cause a big problem and lead to a circumstance that is not only heartbreaking but dangerous to Bussy's fragile health. Grandmother Hen and Polly the Perfect Pullet, with the aid of their other barnyard friends, unite with Bette, the boy's little sister, to transform the situation to one that will make Bussy feel better. Best-selling author Linda Lee Greene adapted ROOSTER TALE from an excerpt of her novel GUARDIANS AND OTHER ANGELS http: //goo.gl/imUwKO. ROOSTER TALE weaves an enchanting story within its 64 pages, one that you, your children, and your grandchildren will cherish for years to come. Greene has been compared to Pulitzer Prize winners Frank McCourt and John Steinbeck in the style of her prose and quality of her storytelling. And she doesn't disappoint in ROOSTER TALE. The book's special magic is also due to its world-class illustrations rendered by award-winning artist Edith D. Wadkins.
