To be there, right then, with regularity, is chasing a savage wind. So I turned to face it, equalizing its speed, hovering to pay homage to being there more often, enjoying the travels, the moments, the friendships, the love, even the dark dips and disaster; every road we travel. Each chapter covers this ground in its own way.
My grandfather wrote journals while carving Ledo Road, in then Burma, during WWII. The last chapter is a tribute to his service and observations along his own road graveled.
This book might go in your glove box, backpack, saddle pouch, or maybe on your coffee table, rig dash, in between the cushions on the couch out back; whatever suits your mood.
I hope every line finds a home.
