They were abused, thrown away or used as breeders or bait animals. Others had wonderful homes but, due to circumstances, had to find a new forever home.
It doesn't matter where they came from, what matters is they are cared for by fosters who help socialize them so they can be adopted by people who love them.
There's been an epidemic of unwanted dogs since COVID. Add to that the wildfires in California and Canada, and you have a dire situation. If you have the time and space and a good heart, they need you.
This book was so much fun to write with help from the dogs I fostered.
