It's unfortunate that when we speak of inheritance or what we leave behind, we usually mean financial or material wealth. But leaving money and property is the easy part. The hard part is finding something of singular value that will help others, especially your family, lead a long, happy, and successful life. Thus, as I sit here and write these words, I now face the ultimate human challenge of trying to leave you, my beloved children and grandchildren an inheritance of invaluable worth.

It's to that end, I wrote this book. A collection of life lessons, pearls of wisdom if you will, that only time, experience, and God's amazing grace provide. Many of these lessons come from the School of Hard Knocks. This is a book of philosophy and a book of truth. And I have been special insight in observation and discernment when experiencing the many, many experiences that I have been abundantly blessed to have in my three score plus ten years. Many of you know from my first book, Renegade Colonel, my life is all about Faith, Family and Friends. This book is a personal collection of philosophies and truths based on those three principles.
