Reminiscences of J. L. Toole is a memoir written by the famous English actor and comedian John Lawrence Toole. The book, published in 1889, is a collection of anecdotes and stories from Toole's life and career in the theater. It includes accounts of his early days as a struggling actor, his rise to fame in the 1860s and 1870s, and his experiences working with other notable actors and playwrights of the time. Toole also shares his thoughts on the art of acting, and provides insights into the workings of the Victorian theater scene. The book offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of 19th century theater, and is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of British entertainment. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
