Prayer is a mystery. I can't claim to have figured it out, but I have come to an understanding that has given me a desire to pray more. Like most Christians, my prayer life has had its ebbs and flows. Something will happen in my life that encourages me to pray, and for a while I find prayer is a regular part of my day, and then something else will happen that takes away that desire, and my prayer life dries up. The questions about the workings and power of prayer seem to pop up more frequently when I'm hoping for and expecting a particular result from prayer and it doesn't come to pass. When I put the thoughts of wise people together and coupled it with my personal experiences, I came to some conclusions that changed my view of prayer, and which I hope will be helpful to other people who find they are not praying as much as they used to or question the power of prayer or who have become discouraged with prayer. This book is meant to reboot a person's prayer life.
