Raptus Helenae, also known as the 'Rape of Helen, ' is an epic poem written by Colluthus, a Greek poet from Lycopolis in Egypt who flourished in the late 5th and early 6th centuries AD. This poem recounts the abduction of Helen by Paris, an event that ignited the Trojan War. Colluthus's work provides a significant, albeit concise, retelling of this pivotal myth, blending elements of romance, adventure, and tragedy.
