Raemakers' Cartoons is a collection of political cartoons created by the Dutch artist Louis Raemaekers during World War I. The book includes over 100 full-page illustrations, each accompanied by explanatory notes written by prominent English writers of the time. The cartoons are satirical and often critical of the war and the political leaders involved. They cover a range of topics, including propaganda, censorship, the role of women in the war effort, and the suffering of soldiers and civilians. The book provides a unique insight into the attitudes and opinions of the era, as well as a fascinating glimpse into the art of political cartooning. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
