Rachel Montgomery, a poor girl from Palmdale, has always had a dream. A handsome husband. Children. A family. But it was not meant to be. Suffering from an abusive childhood, she struggles with dissociative disorder. Chronically introverted, communication is difficult. Numbers fill her mind, interfering with the world around her. Rachel is also an extraordinarily brilliant mathematician. If given the chance, her inventions will change the world.

Rachel From the Edge finds the young mathematician at a low point. Her billionaire boyfriend has died under controversial circumstances. The media, and the billionaire's family, are making the anonymous lab girl the butt of national jokes. Fired from her research position, Rachel is heartbroken, stricken with pneumonia, and giving up hope. But, as Rachel would say, even the math cannot predict everything, because her life is about to change forever.

Rachel From the Edge is now followed by two sequels, Rachel Running on Empty and Rachel the Warrior.
