The year is 1918. Prohibition is about to go into effect in Puerto Rico, making alcohol illegal in the island of rum.

Felipe, the eldest son of a powerful family in Ponce, has just returned from France where he volunteered in the Great War and is tasked by his father to shift the family's business away from rum to comply with the new law. Instead, Felipe sees an opportunity. He becomes an outlaw, making and selling rum in secret with the help of his capable foreman and some trusted workers.

Using his high social position, Felipe maneuvers the corruption around him as easily as a ballroom dance, but success in the criminal world comes at a price. Vicious gangs want his business, and start killing to get it.

As the violence escalates, Felipe will need to decide how far he'll go to protect his family and his people, before all his secrets are exposed.
