Roman Holiday: An Emerald Bay Novella

Getting engaged is stressful, especially when your meddling- er, loving- friends get involved.

Roman Burke is a bit of a control freak. A former professor turned prep cook, he was planning the perfect Italian getaway to propose to his girlfriend. He had everything planned out, right to the last detail.

Unfortunately, work and supporting his family on a small budget got in the way and he's had to put his little dream on the backburner. But when his friends and future in-laws surprise him with an all-expenses paid trip to Rome, he's forced to let someone else take the reins and embrace whatever this trip has in store.

Imogen Flynn has learned to navigate whatever chaos life throws her way. After losing her dad, falling in love unexpectedly, and nearly losing the chance to work toward her PhD, she's almost at the finish line. Now, she's eager for what comes next: building her academic career, and a life with the man who changed her life completely. There's just one problem: Roman has proposed yet.

When he tells her about their surprise Italian getaway, Imogen's spidey senses start tingling. Will Roman pop the question that's been weighing on both of their minds, or is this just another vacation?
