Robert of Chester's Latin Translation of the Algebra of Al-Khowarizmi is a book that was first published in 1915. It is a translation of the work of the famous Islamic mathematician, Al-Khowarizmi, who lived in the 9th century. The book is a treatise on algebra, which was one of the most important branches of mathematics in the Islamic world during the Middle Ages. The translation was done by Robert of Chester, an English scholar who lived in the 12th century. Robert was one of the first scholars in Europe to translate the works of Al-Khowarizmi into Latin, which helped to spread the knowledge of Islamic mathematics throughout Europe. The book contains a detailed explanation of the principles of algebra, including the use of variables, equations, and algebraic expressions. It also includes examples of how these principles can be applied to solve problems in geometry and arithmetic. The Algebra of Al-Khowarizmi is considered one of the most important works in the history of mathematics. It laid the foundation for the development of modern algebra and helped to revolutionize the field of mathematics. The book is still studied by mathematicians and scholars today, and it continues to be an important source of knowledge for anyone interested in the history of mathematics. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
