In 2006, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), presented her Ten-Point Plan for Iran's future at the Council of Europe. The plan addresses the most fundamental historical rights, ideals, and pressing needs of the Iranian people in pursuit of a republic grounded in free and fair elections. The plan is rooted in the comprehensive program of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, which has been established and announced for four decades. The plan pledges to conduct a free election for the Constituent Assembly within six months following the regime's overthrow. The assembly will be tasked with drafting the constitution for the new republic.
