All those 14 hour flights back from Africa and you kept going back to that one doc on the drop down menu of that one boy climbing those frozen mountains in Patagonia and then dying, Mark-André Leclerc. After 3 years of flying home every couple months after all those safaris now on your own company and you kept watching this one kid, how did he figure in your life?, you're just a writer, a nobody and yet he'd made it, he's the real artist on the rock and all that other stuff on the infotainment system on Quatar's seatback, it all bored you, even the oscar thing about the guy on the Manhattan Project bored you, but something about this kid doing this crazy stuff up on these rocks, and it had something to do with Hemingway's early work in Paris and something about the life you lived in Mexico when you lived out of a duffel bag in a jeep on the beach in front of the waves.
