Grazing management in riparian-wetland areas has been a major issue facing rangeland managers for more than three decades. In the late 1960s, growing concern about the environment prompted landowners, land managers, land users, and a highly interested public to take a critical look at land management practices, with an eye toward reducing adverse environmental consequences resulting from use of the land.
