It's 1993, the start of a new fall semester on the Northern Oregon University campus. Robert Brinkerhoff is content yet unfulfilled and sitting on a bench eating lunch while watching the students (let's be honest-just the females) move into the dorms. At 42, he's only an Assistant Professor in Communications. The only thing he's ever thrown himself into was his pursuit of an advanced degree, and even that went unfinished, as he stopped short of completing his dissertation. His relationships just sort of happen, and he makes up for it by lusting after young women; the only thing coming from that is his writing sexy stories for sleazy publications.
Then luck-and a word that rhymes-happens. An older student utters the F-bomb during speech class, and Robert finds himself curious as to what type of woman would utter such a statement...and why? He seeks her out and finds himself smitten. To follow through would violate the university's policy on fraternization with students, but for once in his life, he seems determined to make things happen. While he debates on whether to move forward, he gains a new graduate assistant, and Robert makes the bold move to pursue both women, policy and his career be damned.
Soon, he's teaching carnal knowledge to both of them, but too much homework, computer issues, and alcohol cause chaos to ensue.
