At seventy, Jack Peace has finally stopped moving long enough to look back.

Retail Ronin follows Jack from his first uncertain steps into retail through store floors and head offices, major technology transformations, consulting assignments and some of the biggest companies in the business. He moves between retail and technology, operations and strategy, repeatedly finding himself in roles he never expected and learning that sometimes the most valuable qualification is simply being willing to figure things out.
Along the way, Jack discovers that a career rarely makes sense while you're living it. The connections emerge later.
Part novel, part reflection on a working life, Retail Ronin is a story about curiosity, resilience, reinvention and a career built without a map.
Looking back, the pattern was obvious.
