The Constitution of the Restorative Integration Framework presents a coherent clinical and ethical framework for seeing and attending to the whole person. Brad R. Smedley, LMFT, brings together attachment, human development, nervous-system formation, trauma, protective adaptation, identity, relational healing, and Christian anthropology without reducing the person to any single theory, diagnosis, symptom, or behavior.

At the center of the framework is a governing conviction: the person always exceeds the formulation. Symptoms and protective patterns must be taken seriously, but they can also be understood as meaningful responses shaped within a person's developmental, relational, biological, and spiritual story. Clinical formulations remain necessary, yet provisional.
