About the Book
What begins as a casual WhatsApp group conversation slowly transforms into a deeply emotional and explosive clash of beliefs, identities, friendships, and ideologies.
Removed From The WhatsApp is a powerful social fiction novel that explores one of India's most sensitive and debated subjects, caste and reservation through the lens of modern digital conversations.
Set inside a school friends' WhatsApp group, the story captures how discussions around equality, reservation, privilege, merit, history, and identity can quickly spiral into emotional conflict. As opinions grow stronger and personal experiences surface, friendships are tested, perspectives collide, and hidden social wounds begin to emerge.
Rather than presenting a one-sided argument, the narrative offers two contrasting perspectives within one nation, encouraging readers to reflect, question, and understand the emotional complexity behind public debates.
The book thoughtfully examines:
- Reservation and merit in modern India
- Caste identity and social conditioning
- Friendship under ideological pressure
- Social media debates and digital communication culture
- Emotional consequences of prejudice and misunderstanding
This is not merely a story about a WhatsApp group. It is a mirror reflecting the conversations society often avoids.
