What happens when a Christian opens the fourth commandment and asks whether the day named by GOD is the same day he has been taught to keep?
Remember the Day is a serious, pastoral examination of the seventh-day Sabbath under the lordship of Jesus Christ. It begins with creation, follows the Sabbath through the commandments and the prophets, listens carefully to Christ and His apostles, and tests inherited Christian practice by Scripture.
This is not an argument that Sabbath keeping saves anyone. Christ alone is our righteousness. Salvation is by grace through faith, and obedience is its fruit-not its foundation.
The question is narrower and more searching:
Did GOD ever clearly give man permission to forget what He commanded us to remember?
Daniel Moss examines the passages most often used in the Sabbath discussion, including the resurrection accounts, Acts 20, 1 Corinthians 16, Romans 14, Colossians 2, Hebrews 4, Revelation 1:10, and Isaiah's vision of the new earth. He also faces the strongest arguments from the new covenant, the fulfillment of the law, the Jewish setting of Christ and the apostles, and the historical development of Sunday observance.
The book does not deny the glory of Christ's resurrection or condemn every Christian who worships on Sunday. Christians may worship GOD on any day. The question is whether Scripture clearly transfers the holiness of the seventh day to Sunday-or teaches that the commandment no longer stands under Christ.
Written for ordinary Christians rather than scholars, Remember the Day invites the reader to open the Bible, examine inherited assumptions, listen fairly to the strongest objections, and let Scripture-not custom, convenience, or human authority-have the final word.
