The second volume of Reflections & Shadows, the Author continues her struggle. Trying to blend in while carrying this constant burden of a life she used to have. As the people stray by her on the street, they become distorted images of a past she can't seem to escape. She deals the only way she knows how as she writes down the images from her mind. She doesn't have to search for the words, they simply form themselves; and she will continue reflecting until these distorted images become nothing more than shadows of the past. Each one of these poems tells a story of either triumph or defeat, creating visual art with her words through all elements of life; strength, betrayal, abandonment, violation, love, sorrow and success. The words that live within the depths of this book are very empowering and humbling as well. Let this survivor's words of agony and accomplishment etch themselves into your soul. This is truly an inspiring, one of a kind poetry collection and you will never look at life the same after reading it.
