Recursive Political Economy: Field Theory of Power, Inequality and Collective Intelligence proposes a radical reconfiguration of how political economy is understood, analysed, and practised. Rather than treating society as a collection of static agents operating within fixed institutions and markets, the book models civilisation as a complex, recursive system composed of interacting fields of power, information, resources, cognition, and feedback. Political economy is reframed not as a theory of allocation or ideology, but as a science of system architecture: how large-scale social structures learn, stabilise, collapse, and redesign themselves over time.
At the core of the book is a field-theoretic ontology. Economies, states, cultures, technologies, and institutions are described as dynamic attractor systems rather than equilibrium mechanisms. Power is reconceptualised as control over feedback loops, learning channels, and interpretive infrastructures, not merely ownership of resources or formal authority. Inequality emerges not as a moral failure or market anomaly, but as structural geometry: deep attractor basins that lock agents into unequal trajectories through differential access to information, mobility, capital, and generative loops. Social outcomes are therefore not explained by individual choice or ideology, but by the topology of the fields in which agents are embedded.
The book dissolves traditional political categories. Left and right, capitalism and socialism, state and market are treated as surface narratives that compress deeper systemic dynamics into symbolic conflict. Instead, governance is redefined as field engineering: the design of incentive structures, feedback architectures, institutional memory, and learning systems that shape collective behaviour. Crises are analysed as phase transitions rather than shocks; collapse as attractor reconfiguration rather than accident. Financial instability, political polarisation, ecological breakdown, and cultural stagnation are shown to arise from common structural pathologies such as feedback overload, reward misalignment, memory dominance, and loss of exploratory capacity.
A central contribution of the book is the integration of artificial intelligence and hybrid cognition into political economy. Intelligence is no longer located in individuals or institutions, but emerges as a coupled human-machine system operating across digital platforms, algorithms, data infrastructures, and social networks. Automation is analysed not primarily as labour displacement, but as reward displacement and epistemic unemployment: the erosion of human agency in meaning-making, decision processes, and collective learning.
