Many different versions of Jesus are promoted in American culture: Jesus as a teacher of humanistic morals, Jesus as CEO, Jesus as a great therapist, and more. In this culture that frequently reshapes Jesus into a reflection of its own values, how can we know who he truly is?

When the early church was faced with distortions of the faith, they clarified their beliefs through the Nicene Creed, which still offers a faithful, Scripture-shaped confession of Jesus as God's Son incarnate that contrasts with the many Jesuses of America and can guide us today.

Recovering the creedal Jesus isn't just about theological correctness; this book shows how individuals and congregations can reclaim the creedal Jesus in daily devotion and weekly worship, strengthening the church and renewing Christian faith.
