She also attended Hutchinson Community College, where she majored in journalism. She is married to Jeremy Shapiro and has a son. She currently resides in Newton, Iowa. She is an administrative assistant I- data and records at Grinnell College. During her spare time, she loves to travel, read, listen to music, and spend time with her family.
