I decided that I would never let another dog die in my care that I could have helped to prevent. A couple of year's back we lost or beloved Boxer/Beagle, Drew to liver cancer. We noticed the signs too late and within a week of his diagnosis, we led him off to the rainbow bridge before he had a chance to suffer anymore than he had already endured. I started researching why this happened and how we could have prevented it, which led me straight to the diet. We had our dogs on a kibble diet and the more I researched, the more I learned what was actually in kibble and all kinds, not just the low end ones either. I am not saying that I can prevent cancer in my dogs; I am not saying I can prevent any disease for that matter. All I am trying to do is find a better way for them to live healthier, longer lives and diet was the key ingredient in our household. I have learned through research discussions with veterinarians and holistic doctors that feeding a wholesome diet with ingredients that I can control will help them maintain a stable healthy life. I know exactly what goes into their tummies and if there is a problem in their blood work, I know how to control it with diet and exercise. My research has taught me that with pure logic and common sense, my dogs will have healthier, fuller lives. It takes time and patience but is worth it in the long run. If you care about your fur babies, you will want to try this too because you too will see a difference right away as I did in my dogs'.
