Children are fascinated by the past and this poetic interpretation of life in Tudor times makes History fun and accessible to everyone. From the very real Christopher Columbus and Henry VIII to the fictitious schoolboy named Jack and the nobleman, Sir Alec Smith-Brown, Sue Nield's poems whisk the reader back to a colourful time of great change and discovery, with the added ingredients of both humour and pathos. Even her unlikely characters tell tales based on aspects of daily life, beliefs and superstitions at the time. These catchy rhymes provide a fun way to learn for the whole family and they're a must for the classroom.
