The story takes place on another universe, parallel to ours, in a world which has millions of parallel universes. All of these occupy identical positions and have almost identical galaxies, solar systems and planets. They all have an Earth, which has life forms identical to ours, but their stages of development are different. Some are in the prehistoric ages, others are in the stone-age and some are far ahead of us. They all have similar, but not identical, histories, countries, languages, literature, races and culture. All of them have the great epics Ramayana, Mahabharata, Iliad and the Odyssey etc.
In one of the parallel universes, the planet Utopia has been invaded by a group of evil spirits led by Demon Jaguar. A good spirit comes to help the Utopians to defend themselves, but they cannot defend themselves effectively.
Earlier the same evil spirits had invaded an Earth parallel to ours and some American and Indian children had driven them out with help and guidance of the good spirit (whom they nicknamed Chimp). He requests them to help in the war against the evil invaders and they accept his invitation. During interludes in the battles in Utopia, Chimp uses his magic and AI to take the children back in time to see live glimpses of the Ramayana. This inspires them to fight their battles with more skill and vigor. The American children like the glimpses and want to learn more about the Ramayana.
The Ramayana, which they see, takes place on a different Earth from ours. The story is similar to ours but with some minor differences. In fact, the stories of the Ramayana all over India and those in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia etcetera also differ from each other in some details. This epic is older than the Illad and the Odyssey.
