The Broholmer is a type of dog native to Denmark; it is also known as the Danish Mastiff. It is a huge, strong working dog with a reputation for loyalty and protection. In the 18th century, the Broholmer breed was formed in Denmark, and the name Broholmer derives from the Broholm Castle.
Broholmers have a short coat and a huge, muscular frame; their coats can be yellow in a variety of colors, and some even have a black mask. This breed is easily identified by its wrinkled face and docked tail.
