The Rainbow Trail is a novel by Zane Grey, first published in 1915. It is a sequel to Grey's earlier novel Riders of the Purple Sage, and continues the story of the character Lassiter, a gunslinger and former outlaw who becomes a protector of women and children in the Mormon settlement of Cottonwoods, Utah.
