She has a checklist for the perfect man. He's about to break every rule.
Civil Engineer Audrey Miller has a plan for everything. After years of navigating the chaos of modern dating, she has finally drafted the specs for her perfect partner: stable, logical, and preferably in possession of a 401k. She knows exactly what she wants, and she's not settling for anything less than structurally sound.
So when she meets Ethan, a handsome architect who loves a schedule as much as she does, it feels like the final piece of the puzzle has snapped into place. He is everything she asked for-safe, sensible, and totally predictable.
There's just one variable Audrey can't seem to solve: Finn.
Finn is the bartender at The Rain Check, the cozy dive bar where Audrey goes to escape the pressure of her job. He is messy, impulsive, and allergic to five-year plans-everything Audrey is trying to filter out of her life. Yet, amidst the sticky floors and neon lights, he's the one person who challenges her to loosen her grip on the guardrails.
Caught between the man who looks perfect on paper and the friend who makes her feel truly alive, Audrey finds her carefully calculated world starting to tilt.
Now, she has to decide if she's going to stick to the safety of the blueprint she wrote, or if she's brave enough to admit that sometimes the best things in life are the ones you can't control.
Smart, funny, and full of heart, The Rain Check is a cozy romance about the plans we make and the people who change them.
