Rahab: A Drama In Three Acts is a play written by Richard Burton. The story is based on the Biblical character of Rahab, a prostitute who lived in the ancient city of Jericho. The play is divided into three acts and follows the life of Rahab as she struggles to survive in a society that looks down upon her profession. The first act introduces Rahab and her fellow prostitutes, as well as the spies from the Israelite army who come to Jericho to gather information. In the second act, Rahab helps the spies escape and makes a deal with them to spare her and her family when the Israelites invade the city. The final act shows the fall of Jericho and the redemption of Rahab, who becomes a respected member of the Israelite community. The play explores themes of redemption, faith, and the power of individual choice. Overall, Rahab: A Drama In Three Acts is a compelling story that offers a unique perspective on a well-known Biblical character. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
