Radiant Light Collection of 2026 is the final volume in a two-year literary anthology series celebrating new, emerging, and underrepresented writers. Curated and edited by Steven Decknick, this closing collection brings together unforgettable short stories and poems.

At the heart of this anthology is the Radiant Light Writing Contest's grand-prize winner, Does Your Mother Know by Eugene Drebber, a sharp, humorous, and deeply human story about a young man stranded in a foreign city after a disastrous night, forced to confront embarrassment, fear, and the strange kindness of strangers. His journey through a late-night laundromat becomes a moment of illumination-one that shifts everything he thought he knew.

Alongside the winning entry are works from Indra Watson, Tim Knutson, Carly Wiggins, and Steven Decknick, each exploring revelation in its own way. Some stories shine with quiet hope. Others uncover hidden truths, long-buried memories, or the fragile courage required to forgive ourselves and others. Whether through humor, fantasy, literary fiction, or emotional realism, every piece in this anthology asks the same question:
