Do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? Had it been from other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction. (4:82) That verse is not a defensive posture - it is an open challenge, and one that can be tested.
This book takes fifty-seven of the most commonly repeated objections to the Qur'an - on theology, law, history, cosmology, and the Prophet's own conduct - and answers each one in turn: stating the objection plainly and fairly, presenting the relevant verses in full, and resolving the apparent tension using the Qur'an's own text, authenticated hadith, and named classical tafsir.
Resolutions are drawn from recognized scholarship - Ibn Kathir, al-Tabari, al-Qurtubi, Ibn Hazm, Ibn Taymiyyah, and others - rather than invented for the occasion, and evidence is held to the standard it can actually bear: scientific claims are labeled suggestive rather than conclusive, and hadith are weighed by their actual chain of transmission.
