This collection was written over a three year period and is based on the Japanese understanding of living in 72 microseasons. This means that each of these poems was written within the microseason itself which is 4-5 days long. There are 24 larger seasons and each of those contains three poems.
Aleathia Drehmer spends a lot of time thinking up new challenges for herself when writing poetry, but mostly, you can find her gardening, making fire cider and herbal teas, and messing around with astrology. She is the co-editor of Brian Fugett: Poems that is forthcoming from Citizens for Decent Literature Press.
