Queen Zixi of Ix is a fantasy novel written by L. Frank Baum, the author of the famous Wizard of Oz series. The story follows two children, Bud and Fluff, who are granted a wish by a fairy queen named Lulea. They ask to visit the magical land of Ix, where they meet Queen Zixi and her courtiers. However, the queen is not pleased with her current position and wishes to become a mortal so that she can experience the joys and sorrows of life. To achieve this, she must complete a series of tasks set by the fairy queen, including finding a pair of magical shoes and a cloak that will make her invisible. Along the way, the children and Queen Zixi encounter various obstacles and adversaries, including a wicked magician and a giant spider. Will they be able to complete their quest and fulfill Queen Zixi's wish? Queen Zixi of Ix is a delightful tale filled with magic, adventure, and whimsy, sure to captivate readers of all ages. The fairies assembled one moonlit night in a pretty clearing of the ancient forest of Burzee. The clearing was in the form of a circle, and all around stood giant oak and fir trees, while in the center the grass grew green and soft as velvet. If any mortal had ever penetrated so far into the great forest and could have looked upon the fairy circle by daylight, he might perhaps have seen a tiny path worn in the grass by the feet of the dancing elves. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
