The passion and sympathy the Author exhibits in the poem Generation X is riveting. Labeled generation X, exempt or too extreme, not given a fair chance to be generation next. The author express to the audience that, often we forget that each generation have pave the way for the next generation and it has not always an easy road. The author goes on to explain the challenges to get it right the first time has been proven harder than most think, but it is through constant determination we see success. She goes on to remind the next generation that they have a chance to make a difference. Hold on, don't give up resist the urge to prove them right. Them meaning every critic. Each generation should strive to be greater than the one before them. Often cast aside and expected to fail as their flaws or mistakes are exaggerated. Remember we too were young inexperienced and full of only hope. Generation X You are still the promise, still the leaders of tomorrow, still the future. Do not give up generation X you are next in line to lead the world to greatness.
