We will always appreciate the masters of poetry, but what the world needs now is poetry for our own time. With five easy-to-read chapters, readers can absorb the joys, sorrows, and hopes of compelling verse. These poems encapsulate modern life, covering topics such as technodespair, warfare, family life, and our unquenchable thirst for truth. This has been described as: A daring book that seeks to entrench poetry in the 21st century. Through a blend of neo-classical authenticity...and colloquial expressionism, the author weaves together a powerful body of writing, whose strengths come, in ways and by-ways, from the author's genuine love of poetry and keen sense for writing what she feels, knows, and understands. This book of poetry carries the declaratory power of a poet whose time has come. - Phil Kanyonyozi, poet from Uganda, Africa Cronin Detzz pulls us into the corridors of human emotions and conflict. She examines the issues of politics, religion, and violence in the modern-day world. She moves to the overstimulation in our techno society and challenges us to relearn how to relax...After strolling corridors with Cronin, you will say yes, this is the poetry for our time. - Teresa E. Gallion, Author of Contemplation in the High Desert
