A little girl remembered/Aromas of homemade biscuits baking in the oven/Memoirs of spring and summer adventures These lines found in the poem Annals summarize and characterize Mary Rogers-Grantham's goal for this work, to capture some of her treasures and translate them into poetic memoirs. Her poetry has a smooth and calming tone. She takes everyday life and ordinary things, and makes something special of them. -Nikki Giovanni World Renowned Poet, Commentator, Activist and Educator An inspirational and thought-provoking read... Mary Rogers-Grantham's love for God, family, and nature come shining through in this small volume of poetry. Even when writing about difficult subjects like grief, deep disappointment or excessive or misplaced pride, Grantham manages to gently lead, rather than push the reader to a higher spiritual plane. It's Okay Poetic Memoirs evoked many images and memories for me from my own life, and I'm sure it will for you as well. I look forward to reading more work by this author. -Arlene W.
