I started writing poetry when I became a Widow quite early in life. After receiving my Silver Award I ''ve been writing poetry off and on ever since. Having no teaching in Literature or writing of any kind this Silver Award came as quite a surprise, which inspired me to try and do more. I took it upon myself to take the challenge and have done quite well so far. My poems are very simple coming deep within my heart and may the Readers find them enjoyable and perhaps bring a little tear or smile along the way. This is my first Publishing one''s own Book and now, up in my Octogenarian years this comes as quite an undertaking but, I try to relish all of it as I go along. I think poetry and music have so much in common. As you read you''ll notice a little rhyme and rhythm through out my poetry.
