Madison Milano was born in 1998 in South Jersey. She is currently an undergraduate student at Felician University studying Social and Behavioral Sciences. She has been a writer for as long as she can remember, writing her first poems sometime around 3rd grade. In Piblokto, the author discusses her struggles with Seasonal Affective Disorder and MDD, as well as the childhood that caused both. While not a sequel, Piblokto touches on components cut from Milano's previous title Poems About my Mother: A Five Year Fight with Who She Made Me. The author welcomes you to join on this journey and understand the true meaning of fighting with the past and what it means for your present and future. She hopes that sharing this story will empower and encourage readers to use their voice to heal themselves as well as others. With her degree, the author would like to help students like herself to get the educational, emotional, and spiritual support they need to succeed.
